This book reports on what is known on this problem. It consists of a collection of papers, which can be read independently of each other. The book begins with two introductory papers, one giving an overview and current status, and the second giving history and basic results on the problem. These are followed by three survey papers on the problem, relating it to number theory and dynamical systems, to Markov chains and ergodic theory, and to logic and the theory of computation. The next paper presents results on probabilistic models for behavior of the iteration. This is followed by a paper giving the latest computational results on the problem, which verify its truth for $x < 5.4 \cdot 10^{18}$. The book also reprints six early papers on the problem and related questions, by L. Collatz, J. H. Conway, H. S. M. Coxeter, C. J. Everett, and R. K. Guy, each with editorial commentary. The book concludes with an annotated bibliography of work on the problem up to the year 2000.

El modelo de la Escuela Neutral, desarrollado te�ricamente por Ricardo Mella en 'Cuestiones de ense�anza', art�culo incluido en esta obra, plantea que la educaci�n debe ser neutral en cuanto a valores y a contenidos, huyendo de toda transmisi�n ideol�gica (incluso anarquista) y respetando la libertad individual de pensamiento, pues considera que el alumnado, educado en libertad, elegir� por s� mismo el mejor camino para su liberaci�n.
La escuela s�lo debe ense�ar las verdades indiscutibles, probadas por la ciencia experimental, y mostrar las distintas teor�as explicativas, pero sin ense�ar ninguna como verdadera, para evitar el dogmatismo.
Ricardo Mella y el asturiano Eleuterio Quintanilla (1886-1966) propusieron esta idea en el congreso de la Confederaci�n Nacional del Trabajo (CNT) de 1919 confront�ndose al modelo de Ferrer i Gurdia, que ellos consideraban m�s dogm�tico.
Los planteamientos de la ense�anza neutral tuvieron escaso desarrollo pr�ctico, aunque Eleuterio Quintanilla intent� llevarlos a la pr�ctica al dirigir en Asturias un centro llamado la Escuela Neutra.

Grade 3-6-These two stories by Anne Fine are read here by British actress Sophie Ward. Jennifer's Diary is the story of two girls, Jennifer and Iolanthe. Jennifer has a diary but her writing is very uninspired. Iolanthe, bursting with creativity and thoughts begging to be expressed, has no diary of her own-and she wants Jennifer's diary. The Worst Child I Ever Had is a conversation between three babysitters, comparing stories about the worst children they ever cared for. These stories are rather dry and not initially compelling. Written for a British audience, the vocabulary is peppered with Briticisms. The narrator attempts to provide different voices for each character but only manages minimal distinctions. American children might find the British accent a deterrent.

"Jennifer's Diary" is an interesting book.there are two girls, Jennifer and Iolanthe.Iolanthe has many ideas and can write stories.Jennifer can do maths, and learn poems and, and even play on the piano.But she can't write stories because she doesn't have any ideas.Aunt Mureil gave Jennifer a rainbow-coloured book.It was a diary.Jennifer wrote very boring things in her diary.For example:Jan 1st, it was quite cold today.Iolanthe started to write stories in Jennifer's diary.Because she had many ideas,so her stories were amusing and intersting.

Laser Focused On Using GTD In Evernote

I am a slightly-off-the-rails GTD devotee and someone who uses Evernote every day to, as the company says, remember everything.

Not surprisingly, I was excited when I read in an Evernote LinkedIn group that this book was in the works, and I rushed out and bought it the day that it was released.

Since I've had time to digest it for a bit, I have some thoughts:

1) The author starts by going into why we need a system like this. He doesn't just dive in to the technical bits. This is a great approach that many self-published authors skip. You can't truly tackle a problem unless you face why you're having the problem in the first place.

2) I really like the approach to using tags. Tags are a double-edged sword in Evernote (or any system really), and he has some good advice for managing your tags and what to do if they've gotten out of control.

3) I like how he went step-by-step with screenshots into how he sets his system up, and he very wisely includes some use cases so we can see how his recommended system handles different situations.

4) Being a paperless nerd, I was intrigued by how he uses Evernote with his scanner to go paperless. Very different than how I do it, but it is always good to get different perspectives.

If you are looking for a general guide on how to use Evernote, this will not be the book for you. If you are looking at a general beginner guide on GTD, this will not be the book for you (I hear there is already one called Getting Things Done), but if you are wanting something that is specifically about how to use GTD in Evernote, it is pretty hard to go wrong for $5.

Clear explanation of how the author uses Evernote for GTD

This book doesn't show you how to become an expert in Evernote or GTD, nor does it require you to have mastered either. What it does, and does well, is show you how the author uses them together to manage his GTD workflow. His system isn't for everyone but I use (a variation of) it as my sytem. It's simple and flexible and it works.

This is a quote from a review I did on my blog:

"If you are a newcomer to Evernote or GTD, Dan's book will sell you on why you need to be using them; it won't tell you everything you need to know about how. What it will do is show you how you can use them together to create a complete system for getting things done."

If you don't know anything about GTD, the book isn't for you. If you like GTD but have been frustrated with implementing it, Dan's book will open your eyes to the power of using Evernote, as many of us now do.

Helpful for those already familiar with GTD and Evernote

If you are familiar with David Allen's system for personal productivity, Getting Things Done or GTD for short, and if you have a working knowledge of Evernote, an online note collecting and management system with apps for most smartphone operating systems, then Evernote: The unofficial guide... will give you some good ideas on how to implement GTD using Evernote. David Allen emphasizes that GTD'ers need to find a system that works for them personally, and in Evernote: The unofficial guide... Daniel Gold lays out exactly how he has done this with Evernote. But, the ebook appears to be a lengthy blog post reformatted as an ebook, and links to pre-formatted notes the author provides in his text did not work on my Amazon Kindle. (I'm not even certain what I could have done with the linked documents on a Kindle had the links worked.) The book's fast-paced narrative may also make it difficult for some readers to follow, particularly those who are only lightly grounded in GTD and Evernote. If you are still looking for your own personal GTD system, using Evernote and adapting Daniel Gold's techniques to your own needs may be the solution you seek.
